Are you nail ready for Independence day? Well July 4th is right around the corner and I have joined BetzysMakeup and DailyDairybyGabriela to bring you a couple of nail art ideas for this day!
I opted to use the Nuance by Salma Hayek nail-polishes, which are amazing. Their formula is perfection! For most of my nails I did only one coat which is great when you are doing nail art. You don’t want gunky polish because it takes longer to dry and harder to layer your art.
Step 1: Use a base coat to protect and make your nails smother.
Step 2: Add the silver polish to all fingers, except your accent nails (one on each hand).
Step 3: Polish your accent nails. One red, and one blue.
Step 4: Dot your accent nail with the silver polish in uniform lines.
Step 5: Make a square box with random dots on the upper left corner…now you have a pretty dot flag!
Step 5a: Here is another accent nail using the silver and red polish. Cute firework and dots nail.
Step 6: I love this product when doing nail art. Spray on every nail before next step.
Step 7: Apply these nail tip guides, any angle you like. Apply to all silver nails.
Step 8: Apply the blue polish to the tip of each tip guide.
Step 9: Add red dots on top of the blue tip.
Step 10: After removing tip guides, add a layer of top coat. If you see polish bleeding when taking the tip guide off, add a star for decoration.
Left Hand: …And you are done! Perfect nails!
Right hand: If you have nail polish around your nails, just wipe off with a little nail polish remover using a Q-tip.
Hope you liked it…have fun!
